Humimic Biosystem Competes at Ivey Pitch Competition

This month, our team had the honor of competing at the prestigious Ivey Business Plan Competition, and what an experience it was!
The competition brought together some of the brightest entrepreneurial minds and cutting-edge ideas in various industries. Our pitch focused on our groundbreaking organ-on-chip (OOC) technology—a platform designed to revolutionize pharmaceutical drug development by providing accurate, human-relevant preclinical data. With 90% of drugs failing in human trials despite success in animal models, we highlighted the critical need for our technology to reduce costs, save time, and, most importantly, improve lives.
The Experience
From the moment we walked into the competition, the energy was palpable. The room was buzzing with enthusiasm, ideas, and collaboration. Sharing our mission with a panel of esteemed judges, entrepreneurs, and peers was both exhilarating and challenging. We fielded tough questions about our technology, commercialization strategy, and scalability. But with every question, we saw an opportunity to refine and strengthen our message.
Why This Matters
At its core, the Ivey Pitch Competition wasn’t just about funding or winning (although, let’s be honest, we’re in it to make an impact!).
