Humimic Biosystems was founded in 2023 as a spin-off company of the University of Arkansas Mechanobiology and Soft Materials Laboratory. The company was formed to focus on the commercialization of organ-mimicking models including the heart, lung, and brain. By offering unique, reliable, user-friendly benchtop organ models, the applications become nearly limitless: the technology can be used to model diseases for drug screening, treatment testing, and disease progression research in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical industry, and research in academia.

Our multidisciplinary team includes backgrounds in biomedical engineering, cell biology, and business. We can provide you with the best possible organ-mimicking platforms, allowing you to focus on gathering results and changing lives through your research.

Vision

At Humimic Biosystems, we envision a future where breakthroughs in drug research happen faster, reliance on animal testing is minimized, and research for understudied populations is standard, ensuring equitable access to better healthcare solutions.

Mission

Humimic’s mission is to advance biomedical research by developing innovative, organ-on-chip technologies that streamline drug discovery and research.
